The Know Your Customer (KYC) form can be saved incomplete when the customer does not have all the required information available at the time of submission.
To help complete the process, Stripe can generate a remediation link. This link can be copied and sent to the customer, directing them back to their onboarding form so they can continue from where they left off and provide any missing information.
Using a Remediation Link
Remediation links are useful in these scenarios:
Incomplete onboarding: If a customer exits the onboarding form before completing all required sections, a remediation link can be sent to allow them to resume and finish the process.
Additional information requests: A sub-merchant may already be fully enabled, but the payment provider may later request additional business or compliance information to keep the account in good standing.
Once the customer follows the remediation link, they will be guided to the relevant section of the onboarding flow where the missing or updated information can be submitted.
